Concept
A string stands for tension. There is no tension without relaxation. Sound is a physical extension of strings.
While horizontal lines are associated with the horizon, space and relaxation, vertical lines can help us focusing, concentrating on a particular event. This contrast is the basic structure of the system.
As a musical instrument extended into the visual domain, people are able to plonk strings which are represented with simple sound synthesis, along with an easy to understand, minimalistic animation projected on the wall.
The contrast of the horizontal & the vertical is an ever changing, pulsating whole, the system continuously oscillates between these two states.
